Client: Uitgeverij Malmberg

Publishing company Malmberg commissioned IJsfontein to develop digiboard software for 3 new Argus Clou methods for geography, history and nature and technology. Each lesson theme is concluded in class with a fun digiboard game.

In short

The Digibordrace has been developed for pupils in grades 5, 6, 7 en 8 (ranging from 7 to 12 years old). In the Digibordrace all subject matter is repeated in a playful manner. The game is played to conclude a lesson theme. The software has been developed for 3 new Argus Clou methods for geography, history and nature and engineering.

How it works

When a lesson theme is concluded, children play the Digibord race in class. The group is divided into 3 teams that play against each other during the year. It looks something like this:

  • A pupil is standing in front of the class and the digibord.
  • The pupil is asked a quiz question about the theme that has been studied. The team can help think about the answer.
  • Each question answered correctly, earns a joker for the game.
  • The pupil can then play a game on the digibord.

Party

Concluding a lesson theme with a game is considered to be a ‘party’. It encourages pupils to start working on the lesson material and gives them something to work towards.

Play

The Digibordrace is used in primary schools. We are happy to provide a demo on request.
