Client: De Bagagedrager

A screw loose? is an idiosyncratic game, intended for adults who have an association with mental health. In A screw loose? you engage in a playful discussion about mental health and quality of life, which makes prejudice and taboo subjects discussable.

Back in 2010 De Bagagedrager Foundation developed this board game, which has been awarded several prizes: Innovation Prize 2014 (Stichting Voorzorg Utrecht), Brain Cup 2014 (Hersenstichting) and Movisie participation prize 2016. After years of successful application, the need arose for an online variant and IJsfontein was asked to develop it.

Accessible

By also offering A screw loose? online, the game became even more accessible. This is also evident from various reactions from players:

“A super good initiative to set up this game online. A good way to get to know yourself and to get in touch with others. It is a fun game that makes you think but also lets you put things in perspective and laugh. It is also a game for this purpose. I will definitely play it more often and I want to sign up as a game leader.

“I played the online game with others. In a short period of time, many topics were discussed. Also in-depth topics such as having children or not if you have a psychiatric disorder. Worth playing!

Want to play it yourself?

You can play A Screw loose? with everyone online, with and without psychological problems via www.eigenwijsspelonline.nl. For example with friends, family, fellow sufferers and of course also with strangers. It is possible to play the game anonymously, without login or registration. Participants can create their own game and invite people. Or they can register for an online game meeting that is supervised by an experienced game leader.
