Client: TonTon Club
The TonTon club is an old-time arcade in Amsterdam, filled with old arcade games. It’s a place where creativity and entertainment come together in a cosy living room setting to give you a timeless experience. They asked IJsfontein to create a racing game for their new location in the Westergasfabriek. The game is sponsored by beer brand Desperados.
At the bar
The race game is projected on part of the bar using a projector. While enjoying a beer, players race against each other for the highest scores. Players can influence the game by placing objects, such as beer bottles or phones, on the surface where the game is projected. Using a Kinect sensor, the objects are integrated within the game, allowing players to develop a game plan in real time by the amount of obstacles that players need to dodge during the race.
Desert
Players control the game using physical joysticks and buttons that are built into the bar. The game style is based on Mad Max and is an obvious fit with the sponsor brand Desperados. Through a landscape of deserts, cactuses and explosions, you try to be the first one to reach the finish.
